Plataine announce new patent grant for multi-dimensional resource optimization in the manufacture of 3D elements

Waltham, MA, US January 22, 2020– Plataine Inc., a leading provider of Industrial IoT (IIoT) and AI-based software for Advanced Manufacturing Optimization, has announced today that it has been granted a United States Patent #10310492B2 titled “Multi-dimensional resource optimization in the manufacture of three- dimensional elements”.

Plataine’s new patent presents a digital method for production floor optimization and efficiency for manufacturers producing three-dimensional (3D) products by cutting a 3D block of material.

Digitizing and Optimizing the decision-making workflow where manufacturing 3D elements are complex, as the various shaped pieces may theoretically be placed in any three-dimensional orientation imaginable. The new patent leads to higher material utilization, increases throughput, and reduces operational costs. It enables automated optimization of resources used in the manufacturing of three-dimensional elements (including odd shapes and remnants), by generating an automated production plan that concurrently accounts for the range of available resources and makes optimal use of them based on the manufacturers’ goals and constraints.

“We’re excited to receive, once again, recognition by the US Patent and Trademark Office, for our innovation. We will continue to pursue our goal to create the most advanced Industrial IoT software available, as well as to protect its value with registered patents”, said Avner Ben-Bassat, President & CEO at Plataine. “Manufacturers understand the immense opportunities that AI & IIoT hold for production efficiency and improved on-time, on-quality delivery. Plataine is proud to be at the cutting-edge of the process that turns production facilities into smart digital factories,” Ben-Bassat adds.

Plataine’s award-winning manufacturing optimization solutions provide intelligent, connected Digital Assistants for production floor management and staff, empowering manufacturers to make optimized decisions in real-time, every time based on sophisticated AI algorithms.
