Company Overview
At Plataine, we aren’t just building software, we are building the brain of the modern smart factory.
As an award-winning leader in Agentic AI and IoT-based optimization, we empower advanced manufacturers to move past simple data dashboards and transition into fully autonomous, decision-first operations. Our SaaS platform acts as an intelligent orchestrator, solving complex, real-time industrial bottlenecks where standard logic falls short.
If you want to work on complex, deterministic optimization problems, high-scale IoT data, and cutting-edge AI agents that make a tangible physical impact, you’re in the right place.
Why Plataine?
- Global Impact, Elite Customers: Our market-proven solutions are trusted by the absolute giants of aerospace and advanced manufacturing, including Airbus, Blue Origin, and ST Engineering. When they build the future, they rely on our code.
- World-Class Ecosystem: We don’t build in isolation. We partner with technology leaders like Microsoft and SAP to deploy enterprise-grade AI at scale.
- Massive Technical Scale: We operate at the intersection of AI agents, complex operations research, and real-time IoT telemetry. Your work will directly optimize production floors, reduce resource waste, and push industrial efficiency to its absolute limit.
The Opportunity
We are looking for builders, problem-solvers, and innovators. At Plataine, you will have the autonomy to make high-impact decisions, own critical pieces of our architecture, and collaborate with a sharp, driven team that values technical excellence over bureaucracy.
The Role: Architecting Smart Factories
As a Solution Engineer at Plataine, you will be the bridge between cutting-edge Agentic AI and the physical world. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where you will lead the deployment of our AI Agents for some of the world’s most advanced manufacturing facilities.
This isn’t a passive implementation job. You will blend deep technical problem-solving, manufacturing process intelligence, and project leadership to transform how factories make critical decisions in real-time.
- Location: United States (Remote / Work from Home). Must reside near a major metropolitan airport.
- Travel: Up to 40% travel to customer sites across the U.S., with occasional international travel.
- Citizenship:S. Citizenship required.
What You’ll Do (Main Responsibilities)
- Lead Solution Design & Discovery: Run high-impact discovery workshops with factory operations, engineering, IT, and executive teams. You will dissect complex production workflows, surface critical bottlenecks, and map them directly to our AI decision-making engines.
- Own Implementation End-to-End: Drive deployment workstreams from blueprint to go-live. You’ll own configuration, data validation, system integration testing, and user acceptance, ensuring a flawless stabilization phase on the shop floor.
- Drive Optimization Consulting: Partner closely with clients to fine-tune application functionality, constraint-aware optimization logic, and operational digital twin workflows to maximize factory throughput.
- Collaborate on Pre-Sales: Support the growth lifecycle by steering technical scoping, architecting tailored solution demonstrations, and collaborating on high-value proposals.
- Be the Product Bridge: Serve as the critical feedback loop. Translate real-world customer needs, operational nuances, and edge cases back to our internal Product and R&D teams to shape our core AI roadmap.
What You Bring (Core Requirements)
- The Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering (or a related technical discipline).
- The Experience: 4+ years in a customer-facing technical delivery or solution architecture role, successfully deploying complex enterprise SaaS applications.
- Domain Expertise: A strong grasp of industrial engineering, production scheduling heuristics, and operational data. You should be highly proficient in Excel for data analysis and comfortable untangling complex manufacturing workflows.
- Project Execution Grit: A proven track record of managing implementation timelines, mitigating project risks, and aligning both executive stakeholders and shop-floor operators.
Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)
- Advanced Manufacturing: Experience working in aerospace, defense, or highly constrained, high-stakes manufacturing environments.
- Industry 4.0 & AI: Familiarity with AI-driven optimization, digital twins, digital thread concepts, or smart factory initiatives.
- Enterprise Ecosystems: Experience integrating software with major ERP, MES, or PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siemens, Dassault, PTC) via APIs and data pipelines.
