Accu-Router, a leading manufacturer of high performance CNC routers, and Nester Software, a leading provider of production optimization software, announced the signing of a partnership agreement. The agreement authorizes Accu-Router as a distributor of NESTERwood software, a specialized application for optimizing the production of engineered wood products.

NESTER has spent the last 12 months working closely with Accu-Router to develop a new automatic nesting algorithm that provides automatic tool paths around parts that highly complements the Accu-Router Roller Assist hold-down efficiency. These tool paths determine the right time to do individual part separations from the remaining mass in order to minimize part movement, even with nested one inch square blocks, long narrow parts, small L shaped parts, and combinations of all the above.
“This software enables higher cutting rates, exceptionally tight nests, and small part hold-down with no part movement,” says Herzog. “The result is higher material yield and minimum to no scrap.”
