Moshe BenBassat, Chairman and Founder
Professor BenBassat is a prominent leader in the areas of optimization and decision support. Professor BenBassat has founded two companies based on his research work, ClickSoftware and Plataine. ClickSoftware, a publicly traded company (Ticker: CKSW), is a leading provider of service optimization solutions, including service scheduling, resource and capacity optimization, analytics, and demand forecasting. With a successful academic career at USC, Tel Aviv University and UCLA, BenBassat’s research work took place in collaboration with many leading institutions including DARPA, NIH, NASA, and NSF.

Avner Ben-Bassat, President
Avner Ben-Bassat joined Plataine as Vice President, Product Marketing, and was promoted to President in June 2008. Prior to joining Plataine, Avner was a member of Avaya’s pricing strategy team, leading a set of initiatives to increase revenues and profitability. Prior experience includes product development and professional services roles at ClickSoftware, a provider of optimization solutions for leading service organizations worldwide. Avner holds an MBA (with distinction) from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a BSc (Magna Cum Laude) in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Tel Aviv University.

Richard Piacenza, Vice President of Sales - Metal Fabrication
Richard Piacenza is responsible for the sales of Plataine production optimization software to the metal fabrication industry. Over the past 20 years, Richard has held sales and marketing management positions with metal fabricators serving the transportation, building materials, consumer goods, and surface finishing industries. During that time, he has been an advocate and spokesperson on the topic of improving production performance. Richard is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago.

Clay Bolick, NESTERwood Sales Executive
Clay Bolick, Sales Executive for the NESTERwood product line, has over twenty years of experience in the upholstery industry. Bolick joined Plataine after sixteen years with Rieter Greensboro, the US distributor for Shoda routers, where he was a Sales and General Manager of the Woodworking Machinery Division. Prior to that, he was an account manager at Powermatic, a machinery manufacturer and distributor to woodworking industry. Bolick earned his B.A. degrees in Economics and Business Management from North Carolina State University.

Eduard Goldner, PhD, Chief Scientist
Eduard Goldner has been Plataine’s algorithmic team leader and chief scientist for over 13 years. Prior to that, Eduard has served as a system analyst and software engineer at ClickSoftware. He has also served as a consultant for a number of organizations, including Holoor, IGS, and Indigo, and holds a patent on the optical design of Indigo’s best-selling laser printer. Eduard conducted his post-doctoral research in nonlinear optics at The Weizmann Institute, and received his PhD in Applied Physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Eyal Flato, R&D Manager
Eyal is responsible for the research and development team at Plataine. He has more than 12 years of experience in software development. Prior to joining Plataine, Eyal was a software team leader at Kodak. Prior to that he served in an elite intelligence unit in the IDF as head of a technological R&D section. Eyal has a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics and M.Sc. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.

Asaf Horesh, Professional Services Manager
Asaf is in charge of the professional services team at Plataine. Prior to joining Plataine, Asaf was a project leader at Elbit Systems. Prior to that, he was a pilot and commander in the Israeli Air Force. Asaf holds a dual B.Sc. in Computer Science and Management and graduated Magna Cum Lauda from Tel Aviv University.
